An official Anthropic frontend-design guidance skill for new pages, landing pages and interface redesigns. It helps an agent organize real content, typography, color and layout into an intentional interface, complementing performance and guideline-review skills in this directory. The pinned target folder contains only SKILL.md and LICENSE.txt, with no executable scripts. Our review was static, not an installation test; generated pages are not automatically accessible or brand-compliant.

- Read SKILL.md and LICENSE.txt and retain the license. Place the folder in
.claude/skills/frontend-design/ in a Claude Code project. Project-level activation does not automatically install fonts, dependencies or a web server. - Start in a test project with the audience, page goal, real copy, brand constraints and existing stack. Explicitly require preservation of an existing design system rather than allowing an unrequested site-wide redesign.
- Example: “Create a registration page for a local community event, keeping the existing navigation and installed dependencies. Propose a visual direction for approval before implementation. Do not connect a real registration service or deploy.”
- Review file changes before previewing. Check narrow screens, keyboard use, long headings and empty states. Separately approve the source, license and network scope of external fonts, images or dependencies.
Safety review
Rating A is this site’s relative, low-risk static assessment of the pinned commit, not a risk-free certification. We inspected both files in the target directory and the original repository’s installation documentation without executing any commands.
- The folder contains no installation scripts, credential-reading code or fixed external endpoint. Actual file, terminal and network permissions come from the host agent, not this rating.
- The agent may still edit source files, install dependencies or use a browser. Limit scope with version control and a separate branch. Require approval for production deployment, real form submission and bulk overwrites.
- Provide only content permitted to enter the host model service. Do not paste client secrets, credentials or unpublished design materials. Screenshots and build logs can also contain sensitive data.
- External fonts, images and generated code require separate license and security review. Manually test readability, contrast, keyboard navigation and reduced motion; design guidance does not replace those tests.
