Useful for developers locating files, proposing patches and reviewing changes in a real repository. Ask it to explain project conventions before limiting the edit scope. If you cannot assess a patch, do not approve bulk changes or deployment.
Free plan and limits
The current Free plan lists limited Agent and Chat requests. Paid plans do not mean unlimited access to all models: third-party usage can be billed separately. Existing accounts should check their renewal and migration terms rather than assume older prices apply.
Important limitations
A local fix can expand into unrelated edits or new dependencies. Terminal execution, secrets and production access require separate boundaries. Subscription price alone does not describe the total bill.
When to choose an alternative
Ordinary chat may suffice for a code snippet; compare GitHub Copilot for editor completion. Evaluate the same repository task, correctness and review effort before migrating.
Alternative suggestions are editorial, task-based judgments, not standardized performance tests.
