Download, run and inspect open models on your computer

LM Studio is a desktop application for local language models, with model downloads, chat and a local API for developers. The local application can be used at home and at work. Model files must be downloaded separately, and performance depends on memory, hardware, quantization and context length; each model's license also needs review. The interface is primarily English, while Chinese output depends on the chosen model. Bionic is a separate agent application from the same company, not simply a new name for LM Studio. Its optional cloud services and paid credits should not be confused with free local application use. Downloads and online features still require networking; restrict local API binding rather than exposing it publicly.
